It isn’t all cut-and-dry or fact-based queries that search firms, the search committee and the CEO examine during an interview
Sending a thank you note can be a tiebreaker on interviews that you’re on. I’m Jeff Altman, The big Game Hunter and i know they’re inconvenient. i know they’re annoying and I know you don’t know what to say. Here’s what i want you to do instead of emailing a thank you note.
Go to Linkedin. Doesn’t matter whether the person you talked to is a first, second, third connection. Makes no difference. Go to the messaging app on your phone. You need Linkedin messaging. The linkedin app on the bottom of your phone. And then go to the messaging part and on the bottom to the right you’ll see a microphone icon. Click on that and then send the message to the person that you interviewed with. Don’t write a note out. Send it this way. It’ll get through. You’ll get noticed . It works a lot better.
