Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient, friendly, and thoughtful service at all times.
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guest departure.
- Execute service standards for presentation, delivery of food and beverage, and service based on training. Must be willing to participate in regular and on-going training.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of and practices responsible alcohol service.
- Check identification of customers, to ensure that they are of legal drinking age.
- Assist in food running.
- Assist fellow team members providing for guest delight.
- Communicate supply needs to appropriate management when running low.
- Pleasant and frequent interactions with guests including greeting and welcoming back upon departure.
- Compliance at all times with NM food safety regulations.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and take to proper location(s).
- Miscellaneous tasks include but not limited to cleaning sweeping floors; stocking products; restocking glassware, and rolling silverware.
- Transportation of supplies from storage areas to restaurant.
- Respond to any guest requests or issues by communicating with the appropriate staff.
- Recite basic knowledge about menus, menu items, and the resort itself.
- Accurately deliver any room service orders to designated rooms.
- Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by management at any time.
- Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties.

Qualifications & Knowledge
- Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification prior to or within 30 days of hire.
- Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification prior to hire.
- Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant or guest service preferred, but not necessary.
- Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service.
- Ability to communicate in a positive and productive manner while on duty.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects may be located throughout the work area.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Will often lift up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 50. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting – less than 15% of the time.
Background Check
