Reporting to the Project Manager, Flight Training & Standards, this co-op position will help oversee project management for initiatives within Delta’s Flight Training & Standards’ teams and fleets.

It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we’re in the process of designing and implementing a project management infrastructure to manage and monitor all projects within Flight Training & Standards.

We’re looking for a co-op who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Someone who works smarter, not harder. Someone who is people- and relationship-focused that can also drive meaningful results, all while bringing people along with them. Someone who is intellectually curious all while being open-minded, adaptable, and an empathetic listener. Someone who cultivates trust, forges genuine relationships quickly, and earns the confidence of our stakeholders and customers.

  • Work directly with the Project Manager to coordinate and direct numerous project activities as defined by a fully developed project plan.
  • Take a hands-on approach with preparing and communicating project performance, cost updates, and status reports.
  • Manage and drive strategic and process-focused initiatives that support the training infrastructure.
  • Manage project risks, develop contingency plans, and actively communicate updates and changes to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Update and leverage project management tools to provide visibility of strategy, timelines, communication, training, and success metrics.
  • Support the communication of operational dashboards and roadmaps relevant to various levels of leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback and propose process improvement recommendations for optimal training outcomes.
  • Obtain weekly status updates of ongoing projects to report out to management, enabling the ability to communicate real-time status updates to the Managing Director, Flight Training & Standards.
  • Gather requirements and draft project plans that are in accordance with the established PM infrastructure and methodology.
  • Attend project planning meetings and provide meeting minutes when applicable.
  • Prepare and assist with project documentation and holistic project management team documentation.
  • Identify action requirements, capture existing processes, and identify future process improvements.
  • Aids in training on new process roll-outs.
