Hi, I’m Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter. I’m referred to as The Big Game Hunter because I’ve been hunting down leaders and staff for organizations for more than 40 years. For those of you who have left the military or about to leave the military, excuse me, I’m fighting the last vestiges of a bug that’s been hanging on.
For those of you who have been trying to leave the armed forces, there’s an option you may not have considered that’s extremely well-paying that I was reminded of today as I was talking with someone who’s going to appear on job search radio. The option is working for a foreign government. I’m not talking about fighting but doing training.
I was interviewing someone today as part of some prep work for an interview I’m going to be doing next week about work in Saudi Arabia for Americans. And he raised the subject that for veterans who have a background in training, there are options in Saudi that pay extremely well for which there are no local taxes. We live in a compound separated from the local population.
So there are limitations in terms of where you can be but the government treats people extremely well. Now, this may not be your cup of tea. That’s okay.
No one’s paying me for it and I’m not advocating for it. I’m just simply saying, this is one of the options that’s available to you and it’s an option that, in many respects, is easier than the one that you might have in the States where American business is fairly ignorant of what you’re able to do.
